Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Because each journey we host is carefully curated and intentionally small, every reservation impacts the overall experience for the group and the communities we partner with.
For that reason, the following cancellation terms apply.
Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable.
Your deposit secures your place in a limited group and allows us to begin coordinating accommodations, local experiences, and partnerships in Ghana.
Cancellations by Guest
If you need to cancel your trip, the following terms apply:
-
More than 60 days before departure:
Any payments made beyond the deposit may be transferred to a future journey within 12 months. -
30–60 days before departure:
50% of the total trip cost is non-refundable. -
Less than 30 days before departure:
The full trip amount is non-refundable.
We strongly encourage you to plan carefully before committing, as spaces are limited and often reserved well in advance.
Transfers
If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your reservation to another traveler. All transfer requests must be approved in advance and may be subject to administrative adjustments.
Cancellations or Changes by Us
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or significantly modify a journey due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered:
- A full refund of payments made, or
- The option to transfer to a future journey
We are not responsible for additional expenses such as flights, visas, or travel insurance.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, interruption, and medical coverage.
This ensures you are protected in case of unexpected events beyond your control.
A Note on Intention
This is more than a trip. Each journey is designed with care, collaboration, and deep respect for the culture and communities we engage with.
Your commitment allows us to create something meaningful—not just for you, but for everyone involved.
